# Business Contact List Template: Organize Scanned Cards for Team Handoff

A scanned business card becomes useful when the whole team can understand what happened next. This business contact list template keeps identity, event context, ownership and follow-up in one row.

## Recommended columns

Use these columns for a practical event-lead handoff:

Full name | Job title | Company | Email/Phone/Website | Event | Met by | Conversation note | Requested | Next step | Owner | Due | Status | Source | Consent/notes

Copy-paste CSV header:

Full name,Job title,Company,Email,Phone,Website,Event,Met by,Conversation note,Requested,Next step,Owner,Due,Status,Source,Consent/notes

## Example rows

Maya Chen | Procurement Manager | Northstar Foods | maya@example.com | +1 555 0100 | northstar.example | Expo West | Vy | Asked about private-label supply | Product range | Send line sheet | Mai | 2026-09-24 | New | Business card | Permission to follow up

Daniel Ruiz | Import Director | Harbor Market | daniel@example.com | +1 555 0101 | harbor.example | Expo West | Vy | Wants coffee importer history | Buyer research | Share shortlist | Khánh | 2026-09-25 | Review | Business card | Confirm preferred channel

Use fictional data in examples. Replace it with your own records only after review.

## Rules for filling the list

Keep one person per row. Use the name as printed, then correct obvious OCR errors after checking the card. Preserve the event name and a short factual note. Write one next step, assign one owner and add a due date. Use a small status vocabulary such as New, Review, Ready, Contacted and Closed.

## Import from a scanner

EximAgent Business Card Scanner lets you edit extracted fields and export contacts. Review names, email addresses and phone numbers before handing the file to a teammate. Keep the source and consent note so the next person can understand where the record came from. See [/business-card-scanner](/business-card-scanner).

## A simple handoff routine

At the end of each event, export the batch, remove duplicates, review required fields and assign owners. The owner confirms the next step and updates status after contact. A short daily review prevents event leads from becoming an unowned list.

A consistent template makes scanned contacts easier to review, export and act on.
